WW1 Trench Tour with historian Mark Butz

Take a step back in time and re-live the experiences of our World War 1 soldiers from Duntroon Trench Warfare and Bombing School. Mark Butz, local history writer, will lead the tour to the site of Canberra’s historic World War 1 training trenches. One not to be missed!

Level paths and easy access for prams and wheelchairs etc. Vehicle access up to the site.

Meeting place is 2 Dairy Rd Fyshwick, past the Wetland Foreshores Development, through the traffic calming devices until you get to a green mail box, gate and sign on your left saying Jerrabomberra Wetlands Offices.

This event is part of the 2019 Canberra and Region Heritage Festival, which includes more than 200 walks, talks, tours and events showcasing unique history. The Festival runs from 13 April to 5 May. For more information and to see the full program, visit www.act.gov.au/heritagefestival.
