How to help us at Jerrabomberra Wetlands:
At Jerrabomberra Wetlands we rely on volunteers to help our sanctuary continue to improve. We appreciate each and every one of you bring with you your own set of unique skills and passions which can help both us and you. We can’t wait to have you become involved.
Opportunities include:
- monitoring the migratory Latham’s Snipe
- studying the movements and numbers of Eastern Long-neck Turtles, and helping them thrive in the face of foxes
- Other flora and fauna monitoring
- Helping with outreach and tours
Sign up via the Volunteer Database. When registering please provide as much information as you can about your skills – even if it you think it’s not related.
Other ways to be involved
Parkcare run the ‘Friends of Jerrabomberra Wetlands’ activities which meet up twice a month to help with things like platypus surveys and weed removal.
